Turns out there’s one thing Adele‘s not very good at — and that’s lying!
The chart-topping British singer, 27, was a guest on Jimmy Fallon‘s Tonight Show on Monday, Nov. 23, and finally got a chance to have a go at one of his hilarious talk show games.
“I have been waiting my whole life to do this!” an excited Adele remarked, as she sat down in her seat and got ready to take on her show host in a game of Box of Lies. “It was either this or the Lip Sync Battle!” she continued.
But while the Grammy-winning singer was eager, her lying abilities left a little to be desired! First off, she tried to convince her opponent that the dinosaur she had on the table in front of her was dressed as a fairy (in fact, it was dressed as a cowboy). Fallon detected a lie.
Fallon, put off his stride by a bizarrely phallic-looking fake nose, also stumbled and failed to trick his musical guest into being drawn into his mistruth. But in her final attempt to lure the show host into thinking her second description was also a lie, Adele was outwitted!
“Bitch!” she yelled at Fallon, who fell about laughing.
Adele’s attempts at Box of Lies might not have been too impressive, but she certainly made up for it when she took to the stage for a musical performance. The singing sensation performed her latest release, “Water Under the Bridge,” live for the first time, and left the audience in no doubt as to where her true talents lie!
