Watch Straight No Chaser Cover Jason Mraz Just for Us!

We haven't been a stranger to covering male a capella singing groups around here but here's another one to tempt your ears: Straight No Chaser was formed a dozen years ago at Indiana University and the band recently released their third album, With A Twist, featuring their own versions of classics including Soft Cell's "Tainted Love," "Under The Bridge" by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and "Wonderwall" by Oasis.

Fortunately, I have an in with the ten-piece outfit and got them to sing one of my faves from the disc, a merger of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" and "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" from the Wizard of Oz, in a special performance just for UsMagazine.com.

How did this song come about? Group member Dan Ponce credits an ex-girlfriend with the unique combo. "When I was playing the chords to 'I'm Yours,' she said, 'That sounds like 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow,' " he says. "I started laughing and said, 'Wouldn't it be cool to combine those two songs?'

And so they did. Check it out here!
