It's gettin' steamy! A new trailer for Will Smith and Margot Robbie's highly anticipated comedy-thriller, Focus, was released Monday, Dec. 22, and the film promises action, intrigue, and ill-fated love.

The clip begins with Smith's grifter character Nicky being seduced by Robbie, who plays a woman named Jess Barrett in the film. The two shamelessly flirt at the bar, then take their chemistry upstairs to her hotel room, when a man suddenly barges in and holds a gun to Smith's head.

"Give me one good reason I shouldn't do it?" says the menacing man, who is supposedly the woman's husband. "I'm drawing a blank," Smith responds.

Robbie rolls her eyes and quips to the weapon-wielding guy: "He's onto us."

The scene transitions to a reflective Smith pensively staring out at a city landscape. "I've been playing this game for a really long time. I had what I needed," he says quietly. "And then, a girl walked in."

Robbie's character, who becomes an "intern" of sorts in the deception game, then joins Smith on his quest to pull off the con that will end all cons. "There's a science to getting people to trust you," he tells her. "There's no room for heart in this game. It'll get you killed."

While the sexual tension between the pair is clearly palpable in the trailer, the actors themselves had to dispel rumors last November that they were entangled in a real-life affair. Rumors surfaced that Smith, 46, had cheated on his wife of 17 years, Jada Pinkett Smith, with Robbie, 24, during a frisky photo booth session at the wrap party for Focus.

Wolf of Wall Street star Robbie, however, was quick to debunk any fling with her famous costar. "Been working nonstop, just catching my breath. There's absolutely no truth to the ridiculous rumor in Star mag. It's disappointing that goofing around on set could be taken so out of context," she wrote last November on Twitter.

Focus was originally to have starred Ben Affleck and Kristen Stewart in the lead roles, but both actors pulled out.

The film hits theaters on Feb. 27. Watch the sexy trailer above!
