'90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' Season 5 Status Check: Which Couples Are Still Together?

Another helping of 90 Day drama! Throughout the fifth season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, another group of individuals attempted to find love abroad.

Like its predecessors, season 5 of Before the 90 Days followed seven couples as they got to know each other in long-distance relationships with the hope of applying for K-1 marriage visas and the promise of tying the knot.

While all five couples are new to the TLC franchise, one reality TV personality returned for another chance at finding love. Usman “SojaBoy” Umar, who previously appeared on season 4 alongside ex-wife Lisa Hamme, moved on with Kimberly "Kim" Menzies. After Kim journeyed to Nigeria to meet the musician in person, the pair’s relationship hit a snag by the April 2022 finale.

“Since I’ve been back, things have been a little [different]. I don’t talk to [Usman] as much,” Kim explained during the tell-all reunion, despite noting that they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. “Making plans is kind of hard. … [There’s] always an excuse.”

Usman, for his part, denied her claims, noting that they don’t have any problems and citing that their relationship is still relatively new.

Memphis Smith and Hamza Moknii, for their part, were excited to see where their romance could go after she met her beau in his native Tunisia.

“I'm not sure when Hamza will be able to come to the U.S. but when he does he will have to adjust to my life and a whole new place,” Memphis said during the finale. “Plus, on top of that, [he’s] learning to be a dad.”

Before Memphis returned home to her children from a previous relationship, she and Hamza tied the knot in the March 27, 2022, episode.

“Walking into the wedding venue, makes me forget about all of my worries. Nothing is going through my head except for excitement knowing that this is the family that I am going to belong to,” Memphis gushed during the ceremony. “I just feel like a foster kid again getting picked up by my new family. I feel like now God is rewarding me for all that loss that I had in my childhood.”

Shortly after the pair celebrated their nuptials and honeymoon, they learned they were expecting their first child together. (Memphis confirmed on March 25, 2022, that she had given birth to a “beautiful” child.)

“I’m so happy because I was alone and now two people will be by my side,” Hamza said during a confessional after his bride announced her pregnancy.

While Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda struggled all season amid infidelity and jealousy claims, they were eventually able to work things out.

“Yes, I have the ring,” Jasmine excitedly said during the tell-all, confirming the pair’s forthcoming nuptials. Gino then revealed that he applied for a K-1 visa so the Panama native could move to the U.S.

Ella and Johnny

Ella admitted to the China native that she loved him during the season finale, but she “couldn’t keep waiting forever” amid the coronavirus pandemic lockdown and needed physical attention. As a result, the pair’s relationship was tested after she had sex with another man. The twosome’s relationship has since gotten back on track with Ella saying they were “very, very strong” during the reunion. Johnny announced his plans to visit the Idaho native’s hometown one month after filming, wanting to continue to “try” to make their romance work.

Mike and Ximena

While Mike wanted to work on his relationship with Ximena, she kicked him out of her house and ended things. However, he later admitted that he wanted to try again, help her with her finances and eventually get married. Ximena, who asserted that she didn’t want his money, remained unsure about giving him a second chance. The pair had reconciled by the beginning of the tell-all.

While the pair reconnected, Ximena remained unsure if Mike had truly changed his "bad habits." The remainder of the Before the 90 Days cast, however, criticized Ximena for allegedly using Mike for his money while he was focused on their relationship. The pair denied the claims and planned to make their romance work.

Gino and Jasmine

Upset that Gino was leaving, Jasmine asked for forgiveness after their last fight. Though the pair did not get to discuss a potential prenup as hoped, they promised never to say goodbye. Gino eventually popped the question and applied for a K-1 visa for his bride-to-be. They got into a heated argument during the tell-all surrounding Gino’s loyalty to Jasmine and his sex drive.

Gino caught flak during the second part of reunion over sending a topless photo of his fiancée to a friend, he admitted that he still wanted to work on their relationship.

Usman and Kimberly

The pair called it quits after the season, with Usman noting that Kim couldn’t handle his career after they disagreed about having children. By the tell-all reunion, they had reconciled but seldom speak.

Usman denied having a connection and cheating with his ex Zara, but Kimberly was still upset that her partner did not inform her about the conversation. She remained unsure if she wanted to continue dating Usman during part two of the tell-all special.

Memphis and Hamza

Memphis was excited about returning to America and seeing her kids, although she remained unsure if there was a place in her life for Hamza. The twosome were the only Before the 90 Days couple to both appear in person during the special as Hamza has made his way to the U.S.

Hamza missed the birth of the couple’s first child due to immigration delays amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. He met their baby five weeks later, gushing about becoming a new dad during the tell-all special. He hoped to bring his mother to the United States as his family grew.

While the twosome struggled with their communication throughout the season, they eventually split over trust issues. (Ben was upset that Mahogany had not been truthful regarding her age and living arrangements.) The Michigan native eventually returned to Peru after their televised breakup to try again, though Mahogany kept changing her mind about wanting to meet. They decided to give their relationship another shot, hoping to get married one year later. However, Ben claimed the reunion events were the “last straw” for Mahogany.

Ben and Mahogany

The twosome were both ready to move on with Mahogany noting she does not see a future with Ben nor wants to marry him. Ben, for his part, claimed their relationship must have been superficial and not real. While the pair split in the finale, they spoke to each other one day before filming the reunion.
