Tom Cruise
1989 was a big year for attendee Cruise, whose film Rain Man won Academy Awards for Best Picture and a Best Actor nod for costar Dustin Hoffman. Cruise has personally been nominated for three Oscars — for Born on the Fourth of July, Jerry Maguire and Magnolia — but has yet to add a trophy to his case, other than those won collectively.
