Despite being the Globes’ first-ever hosts, the former Night Court star and the Northern Exposure alum handled the 1995 ceremony with ease. Forrest Gump and The Lion King scored big that year with three wins each.

The comedian became the second-ever host in 2010 and returned to lead the Globes in 2011, 2012 and 2016. He became notorious for making controversial jokes about politics, fellow stars and, ahem, his penis.

The Saturday Night Live duo knocked ‘em dead as the hosts of the 2013, 2014 and 2015 ceremonies. Critics applauded their chemistry and wit, and viewers loved when they ribbed George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio and other Hollywood heavyweights.

The 2017 show got off to a rough start when the teleprompter failed during the late-night host’s opening monologue. Luckily, he handled it like a pro and did what felt natural. “Cut to Justin Timberlake, please,” he instructed the camera operators. “He’ll just wink at me or something. This is great!”

The late-night host opened the 2018 show with a subdued monologue that addressed the #MeToo movement and politics. The rest of the night was jam-packed with star-studded presenters and tributes, leaving Meyers with little screen time, which many of his fans complained about on social media.

The stars of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Killing Eve are set to host the 2019 ceremony. “They bring wit, charm and style to a room filled with the very best of film and television,” NBC Entertainment co-chairmen Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks said in a statement. “It’s sure to be another unforgettable, fun-filled night.”
