While Christine has claimed Maya left the Oppenheim Group, she shut down speculation that she wouldn’t be back for season 4 during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
“I just heard that Christine said that I’m leaving the Oppenheim Group. So, I want to clarify something, it’s not true,” she said on Us’ “Hot Hollywood” podcast. “I’m like, ‘Where did she get the info from? Because it’s not true.’ There is no reason for me to move my license in L.A. I’ve been with Jason for six years. We get along fine. Obviously, he’s my boss. I have a lot of respect for him and I trust his opinion as far as real estate. So yes, it would be cool to still practice in California and especially in L.A. and have him there to help me with my potential client because I cannot be there full-time.”.
Maya has pitched a spinoff to Jason, however. “I think Miami has the sexiness and the luxury. You know L.A. shows very well and I think Miami can show well, as well. But opening a brokerage, it’s not an easy thing to do,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “It takes more than just, ‘let’s open an office.’ It’s a huge investment. I am studying for my brokerage license, so if I’m with Jason or another company or my own thing here, we’ll see. Selling South Beach would be a cool idea, and I have the girls already — cute, little real estate agency — but I don’t know if they can provide drama as much as our show does.”
