Everything to Know So Far About the 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' Season 2 Reunion

An icy showdown! Following a well-received debut on Bravo, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City returned with a bigger and even more dramatic second season. As viewers watched Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Jen Shah and Jennie Nguyen at odds on screen, the group gathered to address all the issues that went down between them during the sophomore season. In January 2022, Andy Cohen revealed that the reunion special for RHOSLC marks a major milestone for the new year. "First reunion of 2022 and it’s a biggie: #RHOSLC ! #BabyGorgeous #Snowbound," the host captioned a selfie of him on set via Instagram. The Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen executive producer continued to tease what fans can expect to see as he shared clips of himself with the cast in-between filming. Although none of the Housewives were visible in the footage, Andy and Lisa had a conversation about the progress that everyone was making after season 2. "I think it is going good, I can't wait to get into more!" the Vida owner said in the Instagram Story post at the time. "This afternoon is going to be rough. It's a lot. I'm ready." A large plot point during season 2 was Jen's arrest — which RHOSLC cameras captured on tape. In March 2021, Jen and her assistant Stuart Smith were charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and conspiracy to commit money laundering. "He admitted to hiding ownership and money, defrauding elderly people and lying to the Federal Trade Commission in a deposition, which constituted perjury," attorney Ronald Richards, who is not involved with the case but who appeared in The Housewife & the Shah Shocker special, told Us Weekly that same month. Another shocking story line was Mary's controversial statements to newcomer Jennie. The self-proclaimed spiritual leader found herself in the hot seat when she told Jennie that she loved her "slanted eyes" during a December 2021 episode of the hit Bravo series. Jennie explained to Mary that she shouldn't "say things like that," noting in a confessional, "It is insulting to our Asian culture to call me that, and it comes across as racist. And it's shocking cause Mary should be more educated and understand it's not appropriate to say stuff like that." In another episode, Mary again repeated the comments after Jennie tried to explain at a group event why she felt offended. Mary, who previously was accused of making racist comments about Jen during season 1, went on to clarify that she didn't "mean any harm" towards her costar, saying, "Like, for me, it's a compliment. When Is the 'RHOSLC' Season 2 Reunion?

The Real Housewives reunion was filmed on January 6, although no release date has been confirmed yet.

The second season will wrap up its 21-episode run in February 2022, with the reunion special usually airing immediately after.

Who Will Appear on the Reunion Special?

Lisa, Mary, Heather, Meredith, Whitney and Jen were all set to return for a second round at hashing their issues out. Jennie is also expected to appear after she joined the cast in season 2. 

One day after the reunion was filmed, Andy confirmed via Instagram that Mary did not attend the special.

What Surprises Can Viewers Expect?

Andy offered fans a sneak peek at the season 2 reunion when he filmed himself talking to several of the stars. In several Instagram Story videos, the longtime host told Jen that he was expecting a more "demure" look from her before showing the camera her purple glove with large gemstones.  

While speaking with Lisa, Andy revealed that the business owner brought out her signature feather look and teased a possible hair shakeup.

Will Jen's Legal Issues Be Addressed?

Jen's arrest and subsequent legal drama was a large story line during the second season. Although her legal woes will likely be discussed, the reunion special was filmed two months before Jen's March 2022 trial date.

One for the Books

"Andy definitely asked Jen a lot of hard questions," an insider exclusively told Us in January 2022. "She brought it and so did Lisa Barlow. It's definitely a reunion that Bravo fans can't miss!"

The Effect of Mary's Absence

"As you've heard, Mary M. Cosby did not come, which was very disappointing to me," Andy said during a January broadcast of his SiriusXM radio show, noting that he "had a sense" she might not attend. "I spoke to her on New Year's Eve a few hours before I went on the air. We had a long talk, and it's her story to tell, but I got the sense that she was not finding gratitude in being on the show anymore."

The Superficial author added that he wished she'd made a different decision, because she "was a big part of the success" of RHOSLC. "This is what I dislike about people not showing up at the reunion," he said. "You allow the others to control your narrative as your last gesture. I would much rather hear from her."

Despite Mary's absence, the other women didn't shy away from discussing their costar. "There was a lot of talk of her, as you can imagine," Andy continued. "And the reunion was excellent despite her absence, I will say that."

Plot Twist

During a January 2022 episode of his radio show, Andy promised that a major plot twist is still coming before the season ends — and it will be a big topic at the reunion. “The women saw the remaining six or seven episodes before the reunion, and there’s something coming up that is jaw-dropping that no one knows about that will rock the foundation of two of the Housewives,” he teased. “When you see this play out and you realize that this was shown to the women the day before they shot the reunion and then they had to deal with it at the reunion, you will be quite engaged."

Another Four-Parter?

During a January 2022 Twitter Spaces chat, Mary claimed that the reunion will air in four parts. Last year, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Potomac both got four-part reunions.

Though Mary didn't attend the reunion taping, she said that the other women presented a "one-sided" version of everything that happened. "I mean, they told lies, one side of my story, and I was not going to get on the reunion for a four-part reunion and talk about this guy who has passed," she said, referring to Cameron Williams, who Lisa claimed mortgaged his house to give $300,000 to Mary's church.
