'Wedding Crashers' Cast: Where Are They Now? Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and More

Keep your eye on the prize! Wedding Crashers taught an entire generation of moviegoers that the most fun parties are the ones where you don't know anyone. The movie, released in July 2005, follows two divorce mediators — John Beckwith (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy Grey (Vince Vaughn) — who attend strangers' weddings as a method of picking up women. It works out very well them until they meet Claire Cleary (Rachel McAdams) and her sister, Gloria (Isla Fisher), the daughters of an intimidating politician played by Christopher Walken. The idea for the film came from producer Andrew Panay, although his inspiration arose from a wedding he was actually invited to. "I thought of the idea for Wedding Crashers because at the time I was in my 20s, getting ready to go to a wedding, and for some reason I was excited," he told MEL magazine in 2017. "I thought, 'Why am I so excited for this?' and the truth was I thought I might meet a girl." [jwplayer iQXtT6Fk-zhNYySv2] The premise was a hit with audiences, and the movie became a surprise hit despite its R rating. Fans have long hoped for a sequel. In June 2021, Wilson offered a glimpse of hope — revealing there had been talks about a round two. “Yeah, there is a script and David Dobkin — who directed the first one — has been working on it, and we’ve been talking about it," the French Dispatch actor told Collider at the time. "It’s been nice talking to Vince, and it’s one of those movies that really seemed to connect with people. If we can come up with something we think could be great, then I’m sure we’ll do it.” In June 2020, Dobkin explained that part of the delay in writing a script for the sequel was because he and the producers had trouble coming up with a unique story that made sense for the characters as they aged. "None of us wanted to do a retread of the same movie again," he told Collider. "Anything within those first years that we talked about was the same movie, and we were like, ‘Why?’ Financially, I probably shouldn’t have done that, but I did. And Vince and Owen didn’t want to do it either.” If a sequel does happen, it remains to be seen whether John and Jeremy will still be with Claire and Gloria. If they are, they'll have to find a different purpose for their wedding crashing — or maybe the girls will join in too. Owen Wilson

The Royal Tenenbaums star has stayed extremely busy since Wedding Crashers, voicing Lightning McQueen in all three Cars movies and starring in films including Midnight in Paris, The Darjeeling Limited, Inherent Vice, Zoolander 2, Wonder, The Internship, Hall Pass and Masterminds. In October 2021, he hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time during the season 47 premiere.

The Anaconda star shares son Ford with Jade Duell, son Finn with Caroline Lindqvist and daughter Lyla with Varunie Vongsvirates.

Vince Vaughn

The Old School actor has racked up a ton of comedy credits in films including The Break-Up, Fred Claus, Couples Retreat, The Dilemma, Fighting With My Family and The Internship, in which he reunited with Wilson. In 2015, he tried his hand at drama in season 2 of the HBO series True Detective.

The Minnesota native shares two children with wife Kyla Weber, whom he wed in January 2010.

Rachel McAdams

The Mean Girls star, who reunited with Vaughn in True Detective and Wilson in Midnight in Paris, got her first Oscar nomination in 2016 for her performance in Spotlight. Her other film credits include Doctor Strange, About Time, Southpaw, Game Night, Sherlock Holmes, The Time Traveler's Wife and A Most Wanted Man.

She shares one son with her partner, Jamie Linden. News broke in August 2020 that the couple were expecting their second child together.

Isla Fisher

Fisher's numerous film credits include Confessions of a Shopaholic, Bachelorette, The Great Gatsby, Now You See Me, Nocturnal Animals, The Beach Bum and Godmothered.

The Australia native married Sacha Baron Cohen in March 2010. They share three children: Olive, Elula and Montgomery.

Will Ferrell

The Saturday Night Live alum had a cameo in Wedding Crashers as Chazz Reinhold, who perfects the art of crashing funerals instead of nuptials. He has since appeared in Stranger Than Fiction, Step Brothers, Blades of Glory, The Other Guys, The Campaign, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Zoolander 2 and Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. He is also an executive producer of the hit HBO series Succession.

The comedian shares sons Magnus, Mattias and Axel with wife Viveca Paulin, whom he wed in August 2000.

Jane Seymour

The actress appeared as Mrs. Cleary, the mother of Claire and Gloria. Her later film and TV credits include Austenland, Fifty Shades of Black, The Female Brain, Jane the Virgin, Castle, The Kominsky Method and Franklin & Bash.

The former Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman star shares son Sean and daughter Katherine with her third husband, David Flynn. She is also the mother of twins John and Kristopher, whom she shares with fourth husband James Keach. Seymour and Keach divorced in December 2015.

Bradley Cooper

The Oscar nominee played Sack Lodge, Claire's overprotective boyfriend. The Star Is Born director has since appeared in Failure to Launch, The Hangover, Limitless, Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, American Sniper and Serena. He has also voiced Rocket Raccoon in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and other Marvel movies.

The Tony nominee shares daughter Lea De Seine with ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk, whom he split from in 2019.

Ellen Albertini Dow

Dow played the Cleary women's grandma, Mary. She later appeared in episodes of Shameless, New Girl, Cold Case and Hannah Montana and starred in movies including She Wants Me and Frank the Bastard. The actress died in May 2015 at age 101 after a battle with pneumonia.

Christopher Walken

The veteran character actor played the Clearys' father. He has since appeared in Hairspray, Balls of Fury, Seven Psychopaths, Jersey Boys, Eddie the Eagle and The War With Grandpa.

The Oscar winner has been married to Georgianne Thon since 1969.

Dwight Yoakam

The country singer had a small role as Mr. Kroeger, who's in the process of getting divorced during an early scene in the movie. He has since appeared in Bandidas, Crank, Four Christmases, Dirty Girl, Logan Lucky and Cry Macho. Yoakam released the album Swimmin' Pools, Movie Stars in 2016.

The Grammy winner shares son Dalton with wife Emily Joyce, whom he wed in 2010.

Rebecca de Mornay

The Risky Business actress played Mrs. Kroeger, wife of Mr. Kroeger. She went on to star in Mother's Day, American Reunion, Jessica Jones, Lucifer and Hawaii Five-0. De Mornay shares daughters Sophia and Veronica with ex-boyfriend Patrick O'Neal.
