New York Summer Sour
Created by Zach Siegel from New York City’s Gramercy Tavern, this cocktail, which is made with rye and red wine, is sour, yet sweet.
Makes 1 drink
• 1.75 oz Templeton rye
• 0.75 oz simple syrup
• 1 oz juice lemon
• 0.5 oz egg white
• 0.75 oz dry red wine (such as Shinn merlot)
• A cherry and an orange flag, for garnish
1. Dry shake all of the ingredients, except for the garnish.
2. Shake everything again and strain into rocks glass with Kold-Draft (1.25-inch) ice cubes.
