For some reason, when we’re shopping, the hardest things to find are always the most simple pieces. It’s like we see them all the time when we’re browsing, but when we actually want to purchase them for ourselves, they collectively run away to a secluded mountaintop on another planet. But not so fast! We’re not letting this one get away!
The Halogen A-Line Dress is one of the most popular dresses at Nordstrom, so we can’t believe we caught it with multiple sizes and styles still in stock! It’s a “warm-weather favorite” with unmatched versatility, and it’s going to be our go-to for a long, long time to come!

Happy shoppers are calling this dress “a keeper.” While one called it “fun and spring ready,” another called it “a staple in [their] summer wardrobe,” proving its ability to stay a top choice throughout multiple seasons. We can easily wear this dress with sandals or sneakers for a casual look, but it’s so versatile that one reviewer even said they wore theirs to a “hot outdoor wedding” and received multiple compliments on it! It was perfect for the occasion because it’s so lightweight, but not to worry, because as another shopper noted, it “doesn’t require a slip!” Success!
This dress has a simple, A-line silhouette that comes down to the top of the knee. It fits loosely, contributing to the relaxation brought forth by sunny days, a cool glass of iced tea and zero responsibilities. No lining, no constricting materials – just a feeling of freedom!

For the solids, we have Black and Navy Peacoat, as well as two brighter shades, Orange Ember and Pink Lilac. The remaining eight options are all sorts of patterns. We have multiple florals, with Black Tiny Tulip Print, Black-Green Floral and Purple Floral Print. Red-Coral Geo almost looks floral-like too with its bursts of orange!
If we like stripes, we should check out Pink Multi Stripe, which forms its own kind of rainbow with a mix of pinks, purple, green, black, red and white. The simple Navy Stripe or Ivory-Green Stripe also may catch our eye. Lastly, there’s Navy Geo Print, which is a mix of geometric shapes plus yellow polka dots (a.k.a. adorable).
Halogen is all about creating “affordable work-to-weekend apparel” that’s both clean and modern. Its goal is to “bridge the gap between trendy and timeless.” It sounds like a difficult task, and it is, which is why Halogen takes care of all of that for us. All we have to do is wear the clothes and do them justice!
This A-line dress is available in both regular and petite sizes, but as we said, this dress is a huge hit and constantly selling out of sizes. If we see one that will fit us, we need to act quickly! We’ll thank ourselves when we never have to worry about what to wear again!
