A source exclusively tells Us Weekly that the sartorial star, 37, will guest edit the venerable publication, helmed by editor-in-chief Edward Enninful. Duchess Meghan will preside over what is considered to be the monthly magazine’s most important edition of the year: the fall fashion issue.

And in typical Duchess of Sussex style, she won’t simply be a figurehead; she’s planning to put her stamp on the glossy pages. “Meghan will be writing an opinion piece of her own as well as bringing a selection of female change-makers on board to write their own personal essays,” the source tells Us.

Of course, the passionate philanthropist will also be appearing on the pages in “new photos that haven’t been taken yet,” notes the source, adding that the shoot will take place at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, England, next week.

The former Suits actress — who made her first appearance since introducing baby Archie to the world at the Trooping the Colour parade on Saturday, June 8 — has appeared in plenty of magazines before in stories where she typically talked about health, wellness and causes near and dear to her heart. But most notably, the founder of the now defunct women’s lifestyle site The Tig was the cover star of Vanity Fair’s October 2017 issue.

In that article — published before her engagement announcement to Prince Harry — the star spoke of her royal relationship and how reaching that next level of fame affected her. “I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple,” she said. “We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception. Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
