Praying for their haters! Lane Bryant’s brand-new “Shine On” campaign schools body-shaming internet trolls with body-positive responses from five stunning full-figured ladies.
Model and activist Ashley Graham leads a pack that includes Oscar-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe, Orange Is the New Black‘s Danielle Brooks, and two more bodacious beauties, Alessandra Garcia and Candice Huffine. All of the women strip down to their skivvies to celebrate their bodies while responding to actual comments posted to social media.
Brooks, 27, kicks off the 80-second commercial with this one: “No one should be comfortable at a size 14.” Her response? “Well, I sure the hell am!” Huffine follows her up with our favorite quip of the clip: “Have you seen those rolls?” “Welcome to the bakery, honey!”
For her part, Graham, 28, addresses those critics who believed that the plus-size bombshell was too curvaceous to cover the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. (She was one of 2016’s three solo cover stars, including Ronda Rousey and Hailey Clauson.) To whoever cried, “You ruined Sports Illustrated,” the frequent magazine cover star said, “Well, the way I see it, I made it better — forever” (complete with a perfect “bye!” hand flip to emphasize her point).
