Sashaying siblings! Model sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid walked in the same show during New York Fashion Week 2016 on Wednesday, September 14.
The pair participated in Anna Sui’s vintage Spring/Summer 2017 runway presentation, which featured sultry negligee-inspired pieces mixed with edgy Wild West moments. Both Gigi, 21, and Bella, 19, strutted their stuff in two separate looks — one sister right after the other, with Bella in front.
Bella’s first trip down the catwalk featured a macrame-inspired maxi with see-through lace sleeves and a leather fringed topper. Immediately behind Bella, the Tommy x Gigi designer rocked a feminine floral maxi paired with a red belt, a fringed leather jacket and matching statement cowboy hat.
The pair later switched into silky slip-dress designs that featured floral embroidery and feather trim. Bella’s powder blue ensemble was topped off with fur-lined heels and a coordinating choker, while Gigi’s included a statement-making rose appliqué near the neckline.
Posting a pic of her second getup to Instagram, Bella gushed, “Thank you Anna Sui 💕🌸🍄,” after the show.
Hours later, Bella and Gigi’s mother, Yolanda Foster, shared an image via Instagram of both daughters dolled up for the runway. “❤️Sisters in action for #AnnaSui,” the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star wrote. “#NYFW #DoubleTrouble #Sisterhood #MyGirls.”
Despite a rough start to the day for the younger sister — she took a tumble during Michael Kors — Bella seemed to be in good spirits, thanking all the designers via social media for the chance to represent them at NYFW. She even posted a video of her ill-fated strut just moments ahead of the fall, writing, “Michael Kors today❤️ Thank you so much for having me in the show @michaelkors @johndavidpfeiffer ❤️💋💐 (seconds before 😅🙈).”
