Bella’s big year! Bella Hadid, who inked a deal with Dior Makeup and walked in her first-ever Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show within the past 12 months, can add another job to her resume: designer. The model, 20, announced a capsule collection with clothing and jewelry label Chrome Hearts in a Wednesday, December 14, Instagram.
“So damn excited ! You have no idea what’s coming! My new collection with @chromeheartsofficial designed by me, shot by my angel mother @laurielynnstark ❤️,” she captioned the post, also mentioning an Instagram page just for her pieces. “I CANT wait for you all to see what we’ve made! Follow @chromeheartsxbella for more 😻🏁❤️ #chromeheartsxbella coming soon soon soon…”
In the post, flooded with congratulatory comments from her devoted supporters, Hadid rocks a crop top printed with Chrome Hearts’ logo and a “B” initial on the back with jeans.
The partnership is one that makes sense. Hadid is close friends with Jesse Jo Stark, the daughter of Richard, who founded Chrome Hearts in the ’80s. Hadid, who also dabbles in photography, captured Jesse for a W Magazine shoot in August 2016.
“Cindy [Crawford] is one of my mom’s closest friends. I view Kaia [Gerber] as my little sister. I grew up with Bella and Gigi. It’s all very natural,” Jesse Jo explained of her friendships.
After all, design runs deep within her circle of friends and family. Gigi Hadid released her Tommy X Gigi collection with Tommy Hilfiger in September, following her New York Fashion Week show, attended by Taylor Swift. While Gigi’s line is preppy perfection, there’s no telling what Bella has up her sleeve.
“I’ve always had a ‘style’ at heart, and I’ve always known my vibe, and how I like to dress, but I think definitely this past year and a half it is more put together,” she told Vogue of her personal style in October. “Before, I’d put a plaid skirt with a leather jacket and a mesh top and it would look crazy but it was still my style. Now it is more refined.”
