All that glitters! As Us Weekly confirmed, Robb Derringer proposed to Carrie Ann Inaba during a romantic beach date Saturday, December 10, and now, Stylish has more details on the stunning engagement ring.
Designer Jean Dousset tells Stylish that helping Derringer create the ring of his dreams for Inaba was especially moving. "[Robb's goal] was to find something crafty, classic and sophisticated. Crafty as in well made," Dousset shares. "I got to tell you, I rarely see somebody so just smitten. People are sentimental and they’re excited, but he was particularly smitten."
As Dousset reveals, Derringer customized the Chelsea style with Inaba's preferred cut — oval — and added two secret "signature stones": a garnet and a ruby, one of each of their birthstones.
And, of course, the celeb jeweler confirms: "[Robb] loved the way it came out!"
Diamond expert Michael O'Connor adds more prime details. "The Jean Dousset–designed ring has an unusual design," O'Connor tells Stylish. "The ring is a 'wrap style,' which means that it incorporates diamonds all the way around the band, and it nests a beautiful 3-carat, oval-cut center stone." Approximate value? $100,000.
While Derringer, 49, shared the first shot of the ring, Dousset re-grammed the pic, which had the Dancing With the Stars judge, 48, gushing about its beauty. "Thank you @jeandousset for creating this beautiful ring," she commented on Dousset's repost. "When Robb put it on my finger, it took my breath away. It is beautiful and elegant. And we appreciate and love you! You are simply the best! Can't wait to have dinner and celebrate! Thank you again for creating this with @robbderringer my true love. ❤️"
The General Hospital alum was also enamored with the end result. "@jeandousset I can't thank you enough for all the care and generosity of spirit, artistry and expertise you showed me," Derringer wrote.
