If you don’t know, now you know: The ’90s are back. Khloé Kardashian celebrated the launch of her Good American denim line modeling a pair of her Good Legs medium-wash high-rise jeans, a revealing mesh top and a wet hairstyle that’s pretty hard to perfect without carrying a towel around. One tip we’ve discovered after many a failed attempt: Second-day hair is the perfect base for this style because natural oils make strands easier to control. Plus, they add subtle texture (think: cool, semi-undone waves and kinks).

Hairstylist Justine Marjan tells Stylish that the “sexy” ’90s-inspired look was a style the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had been “dying to rock for ages.” She prepped damp strands with wave spray, then blow-dried hair with fingers to enhance natural texture. Using a 1-inch flatiron, Marjan, who also works with Olivia Culpo, created random twists on 1/2-inch sections of hair in different directions. After running two dollops of hair oil through strands, avoiding roots, she scrunched sections with wax to separate pieces and amp up shine, and locked in the look with strong-hold hair spray. Says Marjan: “We all loved how everything came together!”
