Still not here for it! Tim Gunn bashed Kanye West‘s Yeezy line for the second time, calling the minimalist collection — which just launched its fourth season at New York Fashion Week on September 7 — a “hoax.”

“I’m totally perplexed about why the fashion industry has not looked at these, frankly, dumb, basic clothes and cried ‘hoax,'” Gunn, 63, said on Access Hollywood Live on September 13. “Kanye West is a sphinx without a riddle. I just don’t understand why people are so in awe. [The models in the show were] basically wearing stretch undergarments.”
Not satisfied to leave it there, the longtime Project Runway mentor added, “I think the only thing dumber than these clothes would be the people who would buy these clothes.”
Gunn first openly insulted West’s Yeezy line last November. “I think they’re a bunch of dumb clothes,” he told the Huffington Post at the time. “Just basic pieces … He won’t [like that comment], but let me tell you, the whole Kardashian clan doesn’t like me, so no surprise there.”
He went on to call the Kardashian-Jenner family “vulgar,” noting that even Kendall Jenner, who has risen so high as a model (she appears on the cover of Vogue‘s coveted September issue), doesn’t impress him. “I shouldn’t say that she doesn’t [have ‘it’],” he said. “I don’t know her — she may be a perfectly lovely young woman. I just feel that she’s tainted by the Kardashian aura of yuck!”
