Treasure that dress! In a standout #TBT post on June 19, Victoria Beckham revealed the outfit she wore on her first date with David Beckham 17 years ago.
“Look what I found!” the fashion designer, 40, tweeted, alongside a picture of a tiny orange buckled minidress. “The dress I wore on my first date with David!! X so cute!!”
The former Spice Girl first met her future husband at a Manchester United charity match in Greater Manchester back in 1997. Even before their initial encounter, Beckham had a crush on the pop starlet. The soccer stud told The Sun that he had the hots for Posh after watching the Spice Girls’ “Say You’ll Be There” music video, in which Victoria starred as “Midnight Miss Suki.”
“That’s the girl for me and I’m going to get her!” Beckham recalled to British paper of watching his future wife. “She’s my idea of perfection. I knew that if she wanted me, we would be together forever.”
The two married in July 1999, four months after welcoming their first son Brooklyn.
Beckham, still sifting through old clothing remnants on Thursday, shared another memorable dress she wore during her first pregnancy. “Now look what I found!!” the mother of four kids—Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper—tweeted alongside a pic of a spaghetti strap ensemble. “Stretchy pregnant dress!Brooklyn in my tummy!”
