9. Samara Weaving’s Twisted Chignon
Pretty as a painting. For the Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri actress’ look, hairstylist Marcus Francis found inspiration in the “beautifully soft, yet powerful women in Botticelli paintings.” So, he created an updo that had an “ethereal feeling with a cool touch added to it.” First, Francis prepped locks with Suave Professionals mousse, concentrating on ends, while beefing up roots with a spritz of R+Co Dallas Thickening Spray. Then he rough dried locks with his hands, keeping a middle part. After wrapping sections on a 1/2” curling iron to create texture, he brushed out hair, then divided hair into four sections, twisting and pinning each. The finishing touch? A mist of Suave Professionals Natural Hold Compressed Micro Mist Hairspray.
