10. Gisele’s Gilded Lids

But what else would Gisele wear for the Oscars of fashion? The supermodel’s signature golden goddess look was kicked up a notch by makeup  artist Hung Vanngo who used the Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette in Edgitorial to apply a golden wash all over her lid up to the brow bone and under the lashes, with a subtle wash of green along the lash line to really make her peepers pop.

9. Joan Smalls’ Graphic Liner

To contrast her shimmering gold gown, makeup artist Sir John created a thick graphic cat eye for Joan Smalls — reminiscent of the graphic shapes present in early Byzantine religious art. Oh, and the halo was present too.

8. Jasmine Sanders’ Rose-Woven Braid 

The icing on top of Sanders’ ultra-romantic look? Not only was she rocking a waist-length braid to complement her custom H&M dress, but she had gilded ornamental roses woven throughout her gilded plait.

7. Gigi Hadid’s Subtle Teardrop Eye Makeup 

Gigi wasn’t just wearing custom Atelier Versace — her stunning look was complete with the latest Maybelline New York Soda Pop Eyeshadow Palette (out in September). Her stained glass-effect dress was echoed in her eye makeup (created by celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta) who utilized the warm-toned cherry and cool-toned purples to create a feminine, defined eye for the supermodel, which was emphasized with teardrop glitter.

6. Amal Clooney’s Orangey-Red Lip

Amal Clooney looked characteristically mesmerizing for her hosting duties with a bold lip (her signature) painted on her pout by Charlotte Tilbury. The twist: Tilbury created the hostess-with-mostest’s lip shade by lining her pout with her Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Kiss ‘N’ Tell and layering the Hollywood Lips Matte Lipstick in the shades Screen Siren and Walk of Fame. To complement the warm red lip, Tilbury applied the pop shade from her new Bigger Brighter Eyes Palette ( warm brown) in Exager-Eyes to widen and brighten Amal’s peepers.

5. Kate Bosworth’s Angel Face

Kate Bosworth’s soft pink makeup created by celebrity makeup artist Beau Nelson perfectly complimented her angelic Oscar de la Renta gown. The makeup artist, who was inspired by Byzantine paintings, used the universally flattering Chantecaille Cheek Gelee in Happy on her cheeks for an ethereal flush and then layered the Philanthropy Cheek Shade in Laughter on Top. The cherry on this fashionable sundae: Chantecaille Matte Chic lipsticks in Marisa and Suzy.

4. Lily Collin’s Intricate Braided Updo 

Not only was Collin’s braided updo insanely ornate, but it had killer shine too. The reason?  Celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell prepped her hair with Marc Anthony Tru Professional Strengthening Grow Long Leave-In Conditioner to make sure her strands were shiny and hydrated and worked in Marc Anthony True Professional Strictly Curls 7-in-1 Treatment foam throughout the lengths for control and a wet shiny finish before pulling the hair up into a high-pony braid.

3. Kerry Washington’s Heavenly Hair 

Washington’s hairstylist Takisha Sturdivant-Drew wanted to create a look that evoked heavenly hair and earthly bodies — hence the larger-than-life volume in the actress’ ‘do. To create the look, Sturdivant-Drew shampooed and conditioned the hair and added curly hair extensions for added drama. While the hair was still wet, she used the ghd air Hair Dryer and Hair Diffuser to expand Washington’s textured strands into a more voluminous afro, following with a ghd creative curl wand on some pieces to give the hair more dimension. The finishing touches: brushing through the curls with Tangle Teezer Thick and Curly Detangling Brush and a Lorraine Schwartz brooch.

2. Zoe Kravitz’s Nude Glow

Makeup artist Nina Park created an utterly covetable makeup look for Kravitz right down to her skin. While her lips eyes and cheeks were enhanced with dusty beiges and subdued roses, the obsession-worthy bare-looking finish on her skin was created by layering YSL Beauty Touche Eclat Glow Shot #3 (for a lit-from-within look) on top of cheekbones, under the brow bone and on the sides of the forehead. On top: Touche Eclat All in One Glow. Then, to set, YSL Beaute Poudre Compact Radiance Perfection Universelle.

1. Blake Lively’s Berry Stained Lids and Lips 

Makeup artist Kristofer Buckle created a makeup look inspired by religious Italian paintings of the early Italian renaissance — down to the contouring. Much like her rich red and gold beaded Atelier Versace look, Blake’s makeup also complemented her sculpted features (enhanced with L’Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup and Lumi Bronze It Bronzer) by creating a rich reddish brown eye with the new L’Oreal Paris Paradise Enchanted Palette. The finishing touch: a light bordeaux kiss  imparted by L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Shine Lipstick in Varnished Rosewood and L’Oreal Paris Infallible Lip Paints in Bewitching Bordeaux.
