How's this for getting creative during quarantine? On May 1, the L'Oréal Paris spokeswoman shared the beauty industry's first-ever TV commercial filmed at home ... on a smartphone! The actress directed and starred in the campaign, walking viewers through the easy step-by-step process of using the formula to dye her grays. In the accompanying caption, she wrote, "Bye bye grays!!! Coloring my hair at home! Excellence Créme @lorealparis."

She requested the help of her followers to help her decide whether or not to dye them. In one post, she asked, "Here we are. DO I DYE IT OR NOT?" Her fans had mixed reactions, but many of them insisted that she keep the natural color during quarantine.

The One Tree Hill alum took a little break from creating protective masks for healthcare workers to post an open and honest message about her untreated hair during the COVID-19 quarantine. “The 'silver lining' is literally growing out of my skull," she wrote in an Instagram post on April 27. "For all of our frontline and essential workers who are too busy to fuss with things like hair color, I grow mine out in solidarity with you. When I see it, I’m reminded of all you’re doing to keep us safe. I’m reminded that you deserve to be taken care of."

During a live taping of the Today show on April 21, cohost Jenna Bush Hager spoke to celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton to find out how to conceal her roots at home. Both the stylist and television host demonstrated the process of applying temporary root powder for viewers. Bush Hager even enlisted the help of her husband to hold her hair in place while she diligently applied the powder to her roots with a brush.
