Red carpet debut!
Gigi Hadid showed off a brand new hairstyle on the red carpet at the American Music Awards 2015 in L.A. on Sunday, Nov. 22.
The model, who made her first appearance in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Nov. 10, debuted a sleek bob. The new chin-length cut was parted on the side and swept back.
“I was really inspired by the neckline of the dress,” hairstylist Bryce Scarlett tells Us. “It called for sexy, easy-looking hair.” Scarlett used Matrix StyleLink Gloss Booster for shine and ran a flat iron through the hair to make it more piecey. To finish, he amped up the body with Matrix StyleLink Texture Builder.
However, the style may not be a long-term commitment for the Maybelline brand ambassador. “The hair you can check back tomorrow to see if I still have short hair,” Hadid teased while on the red carpet with E! News. “There’s tricks of the trade.”
The textured style complemented her incredibly sexy two-piece custom outfit by Bao Tranchi, Tamara Mellon heels, and Giuseppe Zanotti clutch. “I just wanted to do something comfortable,” she said of the white crop top and maxi skirt. “It’s kind of California beachy-ish.”
