Barbra Streisand heated up her styling tool for an early ‘90s vintage hairstyle while out in New York City on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The star hit the streets in a black maxi dress with a matching cape jacket and leather accessories.
However, the throwback ‘do isn’t the first time Babs, 72, has tried the style.
Way back in 1992, the Oscar-winning actress and singer attended the Academy Awards wearing a mauve silk gown with drastic bat wings — and her staple blonde coif was crimped from root to tip.
Streisand had a moment in the spotlight again, appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in September. The comic took an opportunity to jab at her alleged diva ways during the show.
“You are the one person who is allowed to be the diva of all divas! We can change the temperature of the room and the lights, and we still love you,” Fallon said.
She later dispelled the misconception, saying she prefers a quiet life with her husband James Brolin. “We don’t really like the big time stardom thing,” she said. “We stay home most of the time, or we take little trips in our truck.”
