She’s got some chops! Cara Delevingne showed off a dramatic haircut as she promoted her 2017 film, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 21.
The model, 23, teased her 31.2 million Instagram followers with a shot of her damp blonde locks on the floor. She explained the photo with a simple caption: “💇🏼.” Delevingne also tagged celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak, who Instagrammed a behind-the-scenes video of the process (without revealing the finished result, of course).
The Suicide Squad star waited until she hit the EuropaCorp press line red carpet to display her daring change. Her locks, which previously hung down her back, is now a shoulder-length bob that she wore wavy and parted to the side. She kept the rest of her look relatively minimal, wearing a white V-neck DSTLD T-shirt underneath a black blazer along with camouflage pants and a pair of strappy sandals, all by Dsquared2.
Delevingne’s cut comes right after her own stint as a barber. While on Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s Wednesday, July 20, show, a pedestrian, Grace, agreed to let the model cut her hair. Grace, who had a blonde lob of her own, trusted the model to give her a summer makeover, though Delevingne admitted she’d never cut anyone’s hair before.
“I think I was gonna do it with my eyes closed! It might be fun,” Delevingne joked.
Once she was finished, Grace’s hair was completely buzzed — save for a few mini-braids on the right side of her head.
