No detail was overlooked for Gigi Hadid‘s 2016 Met Gala ensemble in NYC on Monday, May 2 — right down to her fingernails.
Hidden on the underside of the chrome-painted, pointed-tip manicure were three crystals, totaling $2,000.
The subtle detail meant Hadid, 21, didn’t have to worry about a bad shot. “I added three crystals for an element of surprise and to ensure her nails looked flawless no matter what angle,” her celebrity manicurist, Mar y Soul, who collaborated with KISS products, told Us Weekly.
Hadid, who wore a slate Tommy Hilfiger gown with gunmetal sequins, completed her mani look with four matching pewter knuckle rings on each hand that coordinated with boyfriend Zayn Malik‘s body armor sleeves on the red carpet.
The Maybelline brand ambassador posted a pic of the couple’s ensembles, writing, “love a themed party 😉 🤖 #manusxmachina. Thank you so much @voguemagazine for another beautiful Met Gala xx.”
