#Fact: She's a natural beauty! Jennifer Lopez took to Twitter on Monday to squash speculation that she had gone under the knife after a British plastic surgeon suggested that she had work done to her face.
Dr. Ayham Al-Ayoubi, a "facial plastic and laser surgeon" based in London, tweeted a split-screen photo of the singer and wrote, "These before and after pics of @JLo show many signs of #plasticsurgery - naturally pretty but now looks amazing." In one, Lopez was wearing no makeup. In the second image, she singer's face was contoured by bronzer, her eyes coated in mascara and her lips dabbed with lip color to give her a camera-ready appearance.
Lopez, 44, quickly refuted the claims and responded. "@DrAyoubi Sorry Sir, but I have never had plastic surgery of any kind. #fact," she wrote to the surgeon and her 25 million plus Twitter followers.
Dr. Ayoubi, who received flak from fans of Lopez, followed up with two separate apologies, writing in one: "Dear @JLo I wonder if you can accept my sincere apologies about the wrong tweet which was written by my assistant without my knowledge…."
Gracing the cover of Cosmopolitan for Latinas' Winter issue, the singer and American Idol judge revealed that, early on in her career, she was advised to shrink down her now-famous curves by diet, exercise or other means. The future superstar said no. “You have to stand up and say, 'There’s nothing wrong with me or my shape or who I am; you’re the one with the problem!'" she said. "And when you can really believe that, all of a sudden other people start believing too."
