Kylie Jenner Talks “Addiction” to Changing Hair, Reveals Her “Wig Guy”

Kylie Jenner says she's addicted to changing up her hair colors and styles

Totally wigging out! It's pretty clear that Kylie Jenner loves to switch up her hair. One week she's jet black, the next she's platinum blonde, neon green, and back to black.

But all that color, though fun, could cause a lot of damage if she were really dying her naturally brown locks, so the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner crew, 18, has resorted to high-quality wigs.

Jenner learned the hard way that constantly swapping out colors can have serious consequences. "Because I change my hair so much, it's become damaged. I've had to find ways to really try and take care of it and give it a rest. I discovered this amazing wig guy, Tokyo, and together we create wigs. Wigs are just SO much easier because I change my mind so much and this way I'm not damaging my hair,” Tyga's love wrote on her site, TheKylieJenner.com

Despite the work of dealing with damage, and creating new wigs all the time, Jenner wouldn't have it any other way. "I first dyed my hair when I was 16. I dyed it blue and I never even asked my mom. After that, I've just had this addiction to changing my hair," Jenner, who also has an extension line, Kylie Hair Kouture, revealed. "It makes me feel like a new person. I love feeling different and I love leaving the house knowing that nobody has ever seen me this way."

Not only does the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star feel energized after experimenting with a new color, but she also finds it emotionally challenging to repeat a look. "It's hard for me to go back to different styles I've worn before; I don't always like my normal short, black hair. That look makes me feel like I'm going back in time. It's like I'm going back to that moment a year ago and I just don't want to be in that space,” she wrote.

Since Jenner discovered wigs, she has felt such a positive impact on her life that she wants to share it with fans, too. "Constantly changing up my style makes me feel creative and it helps me with my confidence. If any of you are going through something in your life and you want a change, experiment with your hair — it's so much fun and you'll feel totally liberated. It just makes me feel so good about myself," she said. "Always own your own style and your own judgement and people will support you."
