Who’s that girl? Meghan Trainor has completely transformed herself thanks to a hair makeover.
The “All About That Bass” singer, 22, revealed a major chop (goodbye, extensions!) and a totally new hair color via Instagram on Thursday, February 11.
Trainor has experimented with other hair colors, including pink, in her music videos, but she’s been a blonde since the release of her first major-label album, Title, in 2014.
Now it seems her new hue means new tunes. “NEW ALBUM. NEW HAIR,” she wrote. “THANK YOU LO LO @lorienmeillon.”
While the look appears overwhelmingly brunette, her celebrity hairstylist Lorien Meillon hinted that there’s a little bit of red in her locks. “She’s on Fire!” the Ken Paves salon stylist wrote, sharing the same selfie.
Despite the hairstyle’s fresh vibes, the color reminds Us of another fair-skinned artist, Ashlee Simpson, who dyed her locks the same shade of auburn in 2009.
