Michelle Williams is truly feeling the spirit of spring.
Not only did the former Destiny’s Child singer brighten up in a gorgeous pleated yellow gown at BET’s 2012 Celebration Of Gospel in L.A. Friday, but she also sported a punchy orange manicure to match.
Williams’ tropical manicure happens to be the It color of the year: Tangerine Tango, as chosen by the Pantone Color Institute. We find that orange is the perfect half-way point between a bright fuchsia and a cherry red — two seasonless hues that seem to be regulars on fingers and toes, year-round.
If you’re loving her look, try you hand at these four shades below.

Orly “Terracotta” ($8.50, orlybeauty.com)
Essie “Orange, It’s Obvious!” ($8, essie.com)

When Tangerine Tango was announced as 2012’s hot color, Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said in a statement, “Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.”
