Scents and scents-ability! Sofia Vergara announced on Tuesday, May 17, that she is partnering with Avon for a fun, fruity and floral fragrance launching this fall — So Very Sofia.
The perfume, which will be available for $36 through Avon representatives, is just as energetic and vivacious as the Modern Family actress herself. “So Very Sofia combines delicious notes of passion fruit and Flor de Maya Orchid [the national flower of Columbia, Vergara’s home country], for a scent that is unique, bold and intoxicating,” Vergara, 43, says of her third fragrance release, after the HSN creations, Sofia by Sofia Vergara and Love by Sofia Vergara. “It’s an honor to be part of the Avon family.”
According to the Hot Pursuit star, seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive, behind-the-scenes pictures of the perfume’s photo shoot, the aroma is for “the woman who owns her femininity and strength. We’re strong, powerful and beautiful — and we should flaunt it!”
And partnering with the brand has an even deeper meaning for Vergara. “Avon’s mission is incredibly important to me. Since its founding, the brand has offered women a way to build themselves up and achieve financial security, and that’s something I strongly believe in,” she explained. “Making this fragrance available exclusively through Avon is my way of supporting that goal. I want to help empower each woman to take control of her life, and gain the confidence and ability to achieve her dreams.”
The newlywed, who married Joe Manganiello in November, already knows where she’ll put her bottle. “I love the packaging, it’s something I want to have out on my vanity.”
