Beyonce's Bandmate Michelle Williams: Blue Ivy Is "Absolutely Gorgeous"

"Glory," indeed!

Beyonce's former Destiny's Child bandmate was among those who has already met Blue Ivy Carter, the singer's first child with hubby Jay-Z, born in NYC on Jan. 7.

"She is absolutely gorgeous. We were all in love," Williams, 31, told USA Today at Saturday's BET Honors in Washington, D.C.

Beyonce, 30, Jay-Z, 42 and their little one have not yet been photographed since the much-reported birth went down in a posh, private "executive suite" at Lenox Hill Hospital two weekends ago.

But the superstar couple "have already settled into their role of being parents, and it's just awesome to see," Williams added.

Also at the BET event, fellow Destiny's Child survivor Kelly Rowland was more reluctant to dish on the most talked-about baby of the new year.

"That will be something that everybody will have to experience the same way I did," the "Commander" singer said. "That's for her parents to disclose, not myself."

Little Blue birth was "emotional and peaceful," Beyonce and Jay-Z said in a statement last week. "We are in heaven."

I have never heard of anyone speak about a birth being peaceful, maybe emotional but peaceful. Actualy Beyonce pregnancy has been a baffling one every since she made the announcement. Really who cares what her baby looks like. I can't wait until Jennifer Afleck has her baby in February. She made the whole thing being pregnant fun and delightful. Not interested in seeing Beyonce secretive baby.

I pray that Blue Ivy is heathly and Beyonce' heals well and I pray God blesses them all and give them peace and some sleep. It is sad that a baby has to be born into such negativity and ignorance just because people don't like her parents even though they don't really know her parents. who cares what Blue looks like as long as she's healthy & happy. Us Magazine you've obviously never seen the area of NYC Lennox Hill services it's the affluent upper east side in which many iconic celebs including Vanessa Redgrave & Joanne Woodward own or have owned property for decades. stop paying so much attention to baby Blue she didn't ask to be born of famous parents.
