Will Kevin Smith babysit!? Jason Mewes and his wife Jordan Monsanto have welcomed their first child together, his rep confirms exclusively to Us Weekly.
The couple's girl, named Logan Lee Mewes, was born at L.A.'s Cedar Sinai on April Fools' Day at 6:25 a.m., the rep tells Us. The baby girl weighed in at 7 lbs., and 11 oz.
Mewes and his producer wife posed for their first family photo in the hospital, which just so happened to be taken by Smith! Little Logan snuggled in between her parents in the cute snapshot, while bundled up in a blanket and matching hat.
Amidst their busy schedules, Smith was on hand to host the couple's baby shower in March. Excited to be a new dad, Mewes, 40, also posted a photo of Monsanto showing off her bare baby bump that same month. "So beautiful!!! So excited!!!" he tweeted on Mar. 14. "Just couple weeks away!!"
Mewes and Smith have collaborated on several cult classics over the years, including the Clerks franchise, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Zack and Miri Make a Porno. The longtime pals are currently in pre-production for Clerks III and recently announced that Mallrats 2 is in the works.
