Double trouble! Nick Lachey‘s baby boy Camden, 5 months, shares the spotlight with his famous pop star dad on the cover of the singer’s upcoming album, A Father’s Lullaby — and if the first-released images are any indication, Camden’s going to be quite the heart-breaker.
In the adorable image, Lachey, 39, holds little Camden close to his chest, and the pair show off two sets of piercing blue eyes. The 98 Degrees singer welcomed Camden into the world with wife Vanessa Minnillo on Sept. 12, 2012.
“When I first learned that I was going to be a father, I was inspired to create a special tribute to my son,” he said in a release for the album, out March 13. “Music has always been an incredibly significant part of my life and a meaningful way in which I express myself.”
The album, which is being produced in conjunction with Fisher-Price and Mood Entertainment, will feature a number of original tracks that Lachey wrote in addition to a few lullaby staples, like “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “All the Pretty Little Horses.”
“Creating this album allowed me to further connect with Camden while also sharing the experience with families who are on a similar journey of welcoming a new life into their world,” he continued.
Luckily for Lachey, who will kick off a summer tour with Boyz II Men and New Kids on the Block this summer, he won’t miss a single moment of his son’s early months, because both Camden and Minnillo, 32, will travel with him during the tour.
“Nick is going to be on the road for a while, and I want his family around,” she told Us Weekly in an interview earlier this month. “I want him to come off stage and see me and Camden standing there supporting him. We will be there when we can.”
It’s a busy year for Lachey. The proud papa will also be reuniting with 98 Degrees to release their fifth album, 2.0 — their first in 13 years — in May.
“They have six tracks finished and are halfway through the album,” Minnillo said. “It’s amazing. People are going to love it.”
