Paramore's Jeremy Davis is looking at the world through brand new eyes — those of a father! The bass player and his wife, Kathryn Camsey, welcomed their first child on Dec. 28, he announced via Twitter.
"So, everyone…Mine and @kittykatdav's baby girl has been born!" Davis wrote on Tuesday, Dec. 31, along with a photo of the little bundle of joy with her mom and dad. "She doesn't have a name yet but weighs 6 lbs, 14 ounces."
He added, "She was born on Dec. 28th at 7:16pm…She's a total angel, and her face changes everyday…We are already so in love with her!! We will post her name soon…I just wanted to let you all know before this year ends."
Later that day, the proud first-time dad tweeted another snapshot of the newborn. "Morning cuddles with my baby girl!!" he captioned the pic. "Happy New Year everyone from the Davis'…2014 is gonna be an exciting year!! Loads of love to everyone!!"
Married since 2011, Davis and his wife have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of their daughter for months now. The Paramore bassist even took a break from performing with his band to be with his family.
"We all thought that maaaaaybe that was a little bit important and everybody told him that if he needed to bold, we'd completely get it and we'd cheer him on from over here and swing the holiday shows without him, " band mates Hayley Williams and Taylor York said in a statement about his absence. "Make sure to send Jeremy lots of love and pictures from the shows and messages for him and Kat and the 1st P-more baby. We can't wait to meet her!"
