Earlier this week, the news broke that former Jersey Shore star Pauly D was the father of a love child named Amabella. The five-month-old baby girl's mother, Amanda Markert, was spotted in public for the first time on Oct. 24, visiting Reynolds & Scheffler Law Offices in Atlantic City.
The VIP hostess and former Hooters waitress is lawyering up to come to a custody agreement with Pauly D. Looking slightly uncomfortable to have photographers close by, Markert was wearing black Ugg boots, jeans, and a large, belted white sweater.
The professional DJ told Us Weekly in a statement earlier this week, "Sometimes in life things aren't planned and they may even scare you at first, but they end up being a blessing, that is how I feel about having a daughter. I'm looking forward to being a parent to her."
Now Pauly wants the opportunity to meet his daughter for the first time. TMZ spoke to the former reality star at the airport on Oct. 25, and he opened up about the custody proceedings, saying he hopes to meet his daughter next week.
"It's for the baby," he told the site. "It would be best to have the original mother, and I'm obviously the father. I want to give the baby the best life she could ever have. When I saw the pictures, she's the first girl who stole my heart."
And though Pauly D said that their lawyers are handling everything, he "100 percent" believes Markert is using the child for her own 15 minutes of fame.
The mother of two -- Markert had a son from a previous relationship -- has responded to her famous fling's comments on Twitter, claiming Pauly D knew about the pregnancy all along and didn't try to do anything about it until the news went public.
She also claims to hate the media attention and the disruption it's caused to her family.
"I can't even walk my son to the bus stop now because people are out there taking pictures," she tweeted, followed by, "Worst week of my life. God give me strength."
