Now that is going to be one pretty royal baby. Princess Sofia of Sweden is pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband, Prince Carl Philip, the royal couple confirmed on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The beautiful parents-to-be, who married this past June in Stockholm, shared their joyous baby news on Facebook. "We are so happy and excited to announce that we are expecting our first child," the pair wrote in their statement. "We are very much looking forward to it."

Accompanying the post was a pic of the grinning twosome. The statement from the Swedish Royal Court also revealed that Carl and Sofia, a former lingerie model, will welcome their little one in April 2016. "No changes in the schedule of The Prince Couple's public engagements are planned during the fall of 2015," it concluded.

The pair first met back in 2010 at a restaurant. For their wedding, Princess Sofia (nee Sofia Hellqvist) wore a gorgeous long-sleeved, lace gown and an appropriate tiara. Royals from around the world, including Japan's Princess Takamado and England's Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex, were in attendance.
