Pretty—and functional!

Making only her second post-baby red carpet appearance, Rachel Bilson attended the annual No Kid Hungry Benefit Dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Four Seasons Hotel in L.A., wearing a lovely pink dress with enough coverage for one crucial accessory.

"I needed to wear a dress that I could wear a nursing bra with—all [of my] clothes need to be able to [accommodate] a nursing bra," the Hart of Dixie alum, 34, told Us. "Plus, [I love] the colors. I was so happy to wear Jonathan Saunders. I've never worn him before, so I'm excited to be wearing it!"

The actress completed the femme ensemble with crimson Paul Andrew shoes and Jennifer Fisher baubles.

Bilson and her fiancé, Hayden Christensen, welcomed their little Disney-named princess, Briar Rose, on Oct. 29, 2014, meaning that her first birthday is right around the corner. So what has the tot been up to? "She's doing good!" gushed the O.C. actress, who joined actor Jeff Bridges on the carpet. "She's a smart little girl, very active."

And a growing girl at that! Musing on the year Briar's had since the last Thanksgiving holiday, Bilson revealed, "My daughter was the turkey for a minute last year in the pan, because she was little enough to fit in it. It was really cute, but not this year." As to what she's looking forward to for this year's holiday, the brunette beauty shared, "Oh, gosh, just the food, because it's deliciously amazing!"
