It's a girl! Tamera Mowry only announced she was pregnant with her second baby on Monday, Jan. 4. But there was more exciting news for the 36-year-old actress during her taping of The Real on Thursday, Jan. 8 — she discovered the sex of her unborn child!

Mowry was filming her TV talk show when her excited co-host, Tamar Braxton, decided to telephone the pregnant star's husband Adam Housely and try to persuade him to tell them the sex of their unborn child.

Up until that point, Mowry hadn't wanted to find out the baby's sex, so Housely had kept the information to himself. But overcome with excitement, Mowry (who already has a son, Aden, 2, with Housely) grabbed the telephone and told her hubby she was ready to find out.

“IT’S A GIRL!" the pregnant star captioned a shot of her on set which she shared via Twitter. "Adam told me the gender of our baby today while taping #TheReal and I was so surprised and excited!!"

Mowry and Housely's baby is due in the summer. After sharing her pregnancy news via Twitter, she expanded details on her blog. "Adam and I are thrilled to announce that we’re expecting!" she wrote. "Ever since being blessed with Aden we have known that we would eventually want to expand our family. We’re very excited and grateful to say that we will be welcoming baby #2 this July!"
