Toddlers and Tiaras Tot Wears Pretty Woman Prostitute Costume

So much for age-appropriate attire!
On Wednesday night's Toddlers and Tiaras, 3-year-old Paisley wore a pageant costume based on Julia Roberts' prostitute character in Pretty Woman.
The smiling tot strutted out on the stage wearing a neon yellow wig, midriff-baring, tight dress and thigh-high patent boots, much like Roberts' streetwalking ensemble in the 1990 romantic comedy.
While the judges laughed at Paisley's provocative outfit, not everyone was amused. "Us pageant moms already take a huge rap for what we're doing to our little girls," a competitor's mother said. Most of the young girls featured on the TLC show wear fake hair, "flippers" (fake teeth), heavy makeup and get professionally spray tanned. "[But] it's outfits like that the give us a bad rap... I would never, ever do that to my little girl."
Paisley's mother, Wendy Dickey, told TMZ: "I'm raising my child just as well as any mother does … I take my kid to church every week."
"Everyone in the room was laughing hysterically," Dickey added. "It was meant to be funny, not sexual at all. I made the dress myself! It barely went above the knee, very non-revealing and non-sexy."

Ultimately Paisley won "Grand Supreme," the highest title in her age group.

106i refuse 2 watch this mess It is disgusting child abuse I can not believe its on the air! social service should fix all these stupid parents
I do want to add one thing, tho. Worse than the outfits, etc, are the attitudes these kids are allowed to have. They are royal brats in a lot of cases, with the tiny tots ordering their parents around, throwing fits to get what they want, and back-talking. They are greeted with giggles and "she is just so darn cute" instead of good parenting consisting of teaching them how to behave. It's disgusting.
The outfit itself is no worse than a lot of costumes these girls wear, including swimsuits, but the idea of dressing her as a prostitute is totally inappropriate. Everyone seeing her knew who/what she was portraying, and that's not what our little girls should be associated with. This is not an appropriate outfit at all.
These mom's are sick!! This is waaay over the top!!It is fun to play "dress-up" or for Halloween! But this is very unappropriate! Whats next? Lady Ga-Ga=s penis high heels!!!!
Also, taking a child to church every week is NOT enough! It does no good if you are NOT living your faith! Nearly all of the world's religions teach against vanity and selfishness, so maybe those "mothers" need to pay attention.
Oh, good grief! Someone's mother needs to be smacked upside the head for this one, or at least receive a visit from their state Child Protective Services rep.
I hate how people think that just because they take their children to church that makes them good parents or gives there children good values. The children look to YOU for guidance, and when parents do this its abusive! it teaches them a horrible lesson - church or no church - that sticks with them for life. I seriously don't understand why these aren't illegal. Let the TODDLER at least get to high school before you push your "It only matters that your beautiful" value on them.
What is wrong with these people?
I don't think so many people have an issue with pageants in general. My little sister was in 1 pageant and she won 4th place without any makeup, fake butt/boob combos and/or slinky outfits. As for "just turning the channel", apart from women and other pageant moms who do you really think watches this? I'd be willing to bet more than one pedophile out there watches this show. From the 8 year old who takes pre-pageant meds to "get her in the zone" to the 4 year old chugging energy drinks to the kids getting waxed, spray tanned and botoxed...it just makes me sad. What kind of childhood is this to have honesty?
That is just vile
I just dont know what to say about this!! :P
For the mothers that let their children wear these prostitute outfits for whatever reason..and for the people who actually watch and approve..you are sick..what do you think this is teaching your children and maybe you should go see dr phil before it gets out of hand and they have to see dr drew when they become an adult from all this crap...seriously..you are not doing your children a service..you are harming them..all to please yourself..not your child..
& for all of u stage mom's, if your tot is screaming, crying & throwing temper tantrums before a contest....use some common sense, THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T WANT TO BE THERE!! Just b/c u couldn't make it in pageants doesn't mean u must force it on your kid. & I LOVE when u hear moms say "We do these pageants for the scholarship money"! U r so full of it, these pageants cost a few thousand dollars each time. How about this...don't spend the $ on the pageants, and use the $ to start a college fund!!
Come on people...it's a t.v. show!! If u think it's such horrid trash, turn the station! W/ the # of tv stations u have, find another show! These gorgeous little girls are either doing it b/c they love the attention...but my FIRM belief is that these INSANE stage moms r attempting to relive their childhood via their kid. And let's face it...have u actually seen these moms?? Over 50% of the "Stage Moms" are fat, ugly & insecure! The worst part is that these tots are going to grow up thinking beauty is everything, & in the U.S., we r all judged by our looks. & if you don't agree, then u r as diluted as these mothers.
HIDEOUS!
The whole pageant thing is a little bit disturbing. As in all aspects of showbiz or competiton you have parents who are putting their children first and you have parents putting their needs first. I think this photo is beyond disturbing. Thank God that lil girl is too young to know what it's all about. ICK
parents should wait to "push" their kids into this type of spectacle after their 17 years old. then they would be closer to adulthood. really though it's wrong.
if they "have" to parade their daughters at least they should LOOK like toddlers!! not tiny adults.

Its not about how short the costume is...It is actually one of the more covered up outfits I have seen on the show. It is about the fact that her child is dressed as a prostitute from the movie...
