Break out the blue cigars!

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and his wife Candice Crawford welcomed their first child -- a boy named Hawkins Crawford Romo -- on Monday, his NFL colleagues confirmed on the team's Twitter page.

"Congratulations to Tony Romo, proud papa of Hawkins Crawford Romo, born yesterday at 5:30pm. 8 lbs 8 oz," the Twitter statement read.

Romo, 31, is primed and ready to be the perfect dad to little Hawkins, his brother-in-law, Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford tells Us Weekly.

"He's over-the-moon excited about it," the actor -- who was at the hospital when his sister gave birth -- said of Romo. "He's just such a wonderful person…he was born ready to have a family, you know what I mean? So it makes perfect sense."

Romo and TV personality Crawford, 25, got married in May 2011 and announced their pregnancy in October.
