Tori Spelling was named Mother of the Year on May 10, where she was honored during Cedars-Sinai and Helping Hand of Los Angeles' annual Mother's Day luncheon in Beverly Hills. The actress was joined by her mom Candy, 67, son Liam, 6, daughter Stella, 4, daughter Hattie, 19 months, and son Finn, 8 months.

"I'm overwhelmed! I'm in awe!" Tori, 39, told Us Weekly. "When they asked me to be Mother of the Year, at first I was like, 'I don't deserve it!' But then I thought, 'I'm going to go there and take this award on behalf of moms everywhere.' I feel like moms, we're different from other people. We support each other. We don't say, 'Who did that better?' There's no rivalry or jealousy. Moms are one the only groups you'll ever find that's a true community that bands together."

The CelebraTORI author added that she's looking forward to spending Mother's Day with her four favorite people. "I'm getting a surprise!" she said. "They said they were making me something and cooking me something, so that scares me and excites me all at the same time!"

Like Tori, little Stella is quite crafty. "Stella calls herself a 'craft-ista' and she's four years old! She plans parties, she bakes, she makes DIY gifts! She's my inspiration!" Dean McDermott's wife laughed. "Seriously! We craft together at least two to three times a week. It's part of our routine — it's what we like to do together. It's therapeutic for me and I get to spend time with my kids."
