American Airlines encourages its customers to "be themselves, nonstop" -- unless that customer is Alec Baldwin.

The 53-year-old 30 Rock actor was kicked off his flight from L.A. Tuesday afternoon. Several passengers confirmed the news via Twitter moments as Baldwin was removed from the plane.

Said Activate founder and managing director Michael J. Wolf: "On an AA flight at LAX. Alec Baldwin removed from the plane We had to go back to the gate. Terrible that everyone had to wait."

Baldwin's early exit may have been due to his use of electronics. "The flight attendant on American reamed me out for playing Words With Friends while we sat at the gate, not moving," Baldwin tweeted. "No wonder American Air is bankrupt."
"But, oddly, 30 Rock plays inflight on American," Baldwin added. "The real way is United."
Baldwin's rep explained the ordeal to Us Weekly, saying: "Alec was asked to leave the flight for playing Words with Friends while parked at the gate. He loves WWF so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it, but he has already boarded another AA flight."

Tell Us What You Think
6I was under the impression that you're able to use your cell phone until the plane starts moving? At least, that's how it's been every single time I've flown. So I don't see how it would be any different in his case. Then again, I've never flown on AA.
Being rich and famous doesn't make you exempt from having to follow policy and procedures like everyone else.
Let this be a fine example to celebrtities that THEY ARE NOT ENTITLED . Just because they are rich and famous, doesn't give them entitlement. They have to follow the same rules and procedures in the world as everyone else. They aren't a special circumstance, and they ALL have to follow the rules just like everyone else. Celebrities need to stop acting like they are SUPPOSED to get special treatment, and they need to be respectable of laws, procedures, rules and regulations just like the rest of us. And they need to abide by them.
He looks like he's lost some weight. He isn't quite as sweaty and bloated as he was in that movie The Departed.
Just turn it off!!!! Geez! Just bc you are a celebrity doesn't mean you are above the law!
Maybe Alec Baldwin and Gerard Depardieu should DO LUNCH!!!!!!!
