Thanks, but no thanks. Amber Rose wasn’t too pleased with the way GQ framed the interview accompanying her nude photo shoot, and the outspoken model had no problem calling the magazine out on social media on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
In a one-paragraph introduction to Rose’s photo shoot, the magazine reads: “Amber Rose wrote the book on it. No, seriously: Kanye’s infamous ex, Wiz Khalifa’s baby mama, America’s toughest bald babe since Sigourney Weaver in Alien 3, is about to publish a book of life lessons called How to Be a Bad Bitch.”

Rose, 32, slammed the publication with a snapshot of the text and an angry caption.
“Really @gq??? I’m so much more than Kanye’s Ex or Wiz’s baby’s mama,” she wrote. “Damn, why the f—k did u guys reach out to me for this article and photoshoot? To dumb me down? I talked about feminism and my Slutwalk…Wtf nice title smh I expected so much more from u guys and I’m so disappointed.”
“I was so excited to be featured in GQ not realizing I was shooting for a tabloid,” she continued. “My slutwalk was for ignorant sh-t like this. Oh ‘Her beautiful dark twisted journey to the top’? Nice pun. Negative af. Thx for nothing.”
Rose later posted another Instagram shot, a split image of herself and Channing Tatum, who has also spoken out about his stripper past.
“Channing Tatum #LegendaryTeenStrippers,” she captioned the photo in which Tatum, 35, is depicted looking masculine and shirtless with a pair of aviator sunglasses hanging from his mouth. “The Double Standards are real tho.”
Earlier this month, Rose spoke out about the disparaging comments both West, 38, and Khalifa, 28, have made about her during her first-ever SlutWalk event in downtown Los Angeles.
“I want to forgive Kanye about what he said about me,” she addressed the crowd through tears. “I want to let all of that negativity go.”
In February, West told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club that he had to “take 30 showers” after being with Rose.
Rose told GQ in the interview that she hasn’t yet listened to West’s 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which she says is “just not for me.”
“Don’t get me wrong. I’ll hear songs and I’m like, ‘Oh, he said that about me.’ No one knows what he’s talking about but me and him,” she said. “People can’t decipher. They’ll be like, ‘That’s a cool song,’ and I’m like, ‘That happened to us when we were together.’ Obviously I know he’s talking to me through music.”
