Another Duggar wedding is in the works! Michelle and Jim Bob’s niece Amy Duggar is engaged. The 19 Kids and Counting star, who deviates from her family’s conservative dating rules, shared the happy news on Instagram on Monday, July 13.
“I’m so happy to announce…WE ARE ENGAGED!!!! He loves the Lord, he makes me laugh uncontrollably, he's loyal, he's patient, he's my best friend! Of course I said yes!! l love you so much! @kingdillpickle #DillandDuggsforever,” the 28-year-old captioned a photo of her ring-clad hand holding King’s.
Her husband-to-be also shared an equally sweet snap announcing their happy news. “Well everyone…WE ARE ENGAGED!!!! @amyduggar I asked you to be my fiancee not just because I love you right now. I got down on one knee because you are the only woman I have and will truly love forever.!!! Xoxo,” he captioned a collage of engagement pics.
Amy has always been one to speak out when it comes to the controversy surrounding her family. The aspiring country singer took to Instagram this past Janaury and confirmed she was born out of wedlock.
"The tabloids are telling the truth. My mom and dad did have me out of wedlock,” she wrote on a photo of her parents, Deanna Duggar and Terry Jordan. “Just because we are Christians doesn't make us perfect, it just makes us forgiven."
"Just because I share the Duggar name doesn't mean my life is perfect!" she added, referring to her critics. "God knew my uncle would have a hit show and that somehow I would be apart of it. He knew my parents story would be told. How amazing is that?! Your testimony is everything. Everyone struggles, and sins differently. but Jesus paid it all!!"
