Bah, humbug! Anna Wintour may have to get an artificial Christmas tree next year. The 64-year-old Vogue editor-in-chief threw out her Christmas tree before the holiday even arrived this year, claimed her daughter, Katherine "Bee" Shaffer, on Instagram Wednesday, Dec. 25.

"My mom threw out our tree before Christmas Day because 'it was too messy,'" Bee, 26, captioned a photo on Instagram of presents sitting in an empty hallway. (Wintour and Bee's father, David Shaffer, divorced in 1999. They are also parents to son Charles, 28.)

Wintour, who was famously portrayed by Meryl Streep in the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, is known for being a perfectionist. But it doesn't look like the lack of Christmas tree ruined her daughter's holiday spirit. Bee later praised her mom for getting her gifts she loved.

"Pjs and Downton . . . AW knows me well!" she captioned a photo of a Downton Abbey coffee mug and herself posing in pajamas.
