Barry Manilow needs to take it easy!

The 68-year-old singer is undergoing surgery to repair torn abductor muscles and to have bursas removed from both hips, his publicist told USA Today's Lifeline Live.

He will be in recovery for six weeks; he'll return to the stage Feb. 2-4 with three connects at the Chicago Theater. He'll then perform four concerts at Radio City Music Hall in NYC Feb. 10-14.

"That's what you get when you jump around to Copacabana for 30 years!" Manilow quipped in a statement. "Wish me luck!"
