Exclusive: Bethenny Frankel Tells Us: I Quit The Real Housewives of New York!

After three seasons, Bethenny Frankel exclusively tells Us Weekly she is leaving the hit Bravo show.
“Last season was scary and painful," she tells Us about why she’s rejected Bravo’s offers to return for season 4, which begins filming Sept. 20, according to a source. “It took all of the joy out of it.”

Last season, Frankel, 39, continued to fight with rival Kelly Killoren Bensimon, but it was her intense feud with former BFF Jill Zarin that hurt her the most.
Zarin, 46, bad-mouthed Frankel to their castmates - and even tried to get some not to film with her (she has since apologized).

Frankel -- who welcomed daughter Bryn in May with husband Jason Hoppy -- tells Us she doesn't "see any reason to go back."
This summer, she debuted her own spinoff show, Bethenny Getting Married? The June 10 premiere attracted more than 2 million viewers -- about the same as RHONY averaged in season 3 -- the highest rated debut for a new Bravo show.

Though a Bravo insider reveals that Frankel is contractually bound to make a few appearances on RHONY next season, the network is still hoping that she’ll come back full-time.
But Frankel (whose empire includes books, Skinnygirl margaritas and a Body by Bethenny DVD) tells Us, “My gut’s saying not to be part of this cast."

Out of alll the Bravo Housewives..I love Bethenny.She is the most down to earth and tell ya how it is. am sooo happy for her.I wish her a happy life..
Yeah...ummm...she's leaving, because, she got a boring spin-off show, and that's the ONLY reason! I love how she tries to spin it. Let's not forget, Bethenny added as much drama, scariness and pain, as the rest of the ladies. She's not above it all, or any better.
I will still watch but I'm hoping she gets her own show I'd watch that. Loved Bethenny getting married wish that it was staying on Bravo It was my favorite show I didn't miss an episode.
Bethenny is doing so good right now with her life, she does not need to do RHONY. All they do is gossip and try to act like they have class!!! THEY DO NOT!!! If having money and class in NY means talking about your friends, spending tons of money on tacky purses and jewelry, hosting dumb parties, then I would rather be poor in New Jersey then rich in New York!!
I will continue to watch, and I think she made the right decision. She is a star of her own now. She has more talent than the rest of the housewives put together.

She seems to be in a really good place in her life now -- it's good to have watched her evolve into the person she is.
Good for Bethenny...She has her beautiful baby and Hubby and has no need to be dealing with that drama from those people... It's so great that she's moving on...
Bethenny doesn't need to go back on that show, she's doing MUCH MUCH better without them and banking more money than any of them! Glad she left the trash behind!

I love her! Refreshingly honest and funny! Love Love Love her! Will not watch RHONY anymore, since the only people worth watching would be Alex & Ramona, but they cannot carry this show themselves.

yes, I will definitely watch RHONY because I truly believe the show will be much better without her. She is the most annoying person i have ever seen.
To all of you asking what Bethenney has to be jealous of Kelly? You know nothing about the NYC social scene. Bethenney is a nobody and always will be. As Bethenney said from the beginning Kelly is in the fabulousity crowd of which Bethenney was so dying to be a part. That's why she was trying so hard to impress Kelly at the fashion show they were both sitting out. Too bad Kelly is wrapped up in her own world to care about anyone. That just kills Bethenney because Bethenney's whole life is all about being mediocre and in the background that now she is just trying to claw her way to the top. But she will never make it there because it is so obvious to the NYC viewer. None of them give two craps about what she does. I think they all just want her to leave them alone, aka fighting , planting in the press, etc. The only reason Jill is upset and she has every right to be is because Bethenney totally used her and them dumped her as soon as she found that personal trainer aka Fake businessman Jason. That is the TRUTH!!!!
