Bill Cosby is reportedly under police investigation amid his shocking rape allegations, the Daily Mail reports. Sources tell the site that even more women have privately come forward claiming sexual abuse, and some of the incidents fall within statute of limitations.
"I have sat down with my client and have a full understanding of the issues involved and what has occurred," Florida attorney Mr. Kuvin tells Daily Mail of one case. "The police will be doing additional investigative work which will include things like issuing search warrants."
One woman in particular who will sit down with LAPD is Chloe Goins. The 24-year-old model recently claimed that Cosby, now 77, spiked her drink and attacked her back in 2008 at the Playboy Mansion.
"I have had lengthy communications with the Los Angeles Police Department and there is now a definitive open investigation which is ongoing for, it's my understanding, not only with Chloe's case but other unnamed victims who have yet to be revealed publicly," Mr. Kuvin added. "They want to get all their information first before sitting down and having an interview with Chloe about her incident. This is scheduled to happen early in the new year."
Police are also hoping that Hugh Hefner, Cosby's longtime friend, will help with the case. Earlier this month, the Playboy founder spoke out about the scandal surrounding Cosby to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Bill Cosby has been a good friend for many years and the mere thought of these allegations is truly saddening," Hefner said in a statement at the time. "I would never tolerate this kind of behavior, regardless of who was involved."
