Prayers for Bobbi Kristina.

As the only child of the late Whitney Houston and Bobbi Brown reels from her mother's sudden Feb. 11 death, her family members -- including maternal grandmother Cissy Houston and cousin Dionne Warwick-- are gravely concerned for the 18-year-old aspiring singer.

Multiple sources tell the new Us Weekly that the aspiring singer -- who watched both of her parents struggle with substance abuse -- has turned to drugs, and her loved ones are urging her to go to rehab.

"Whitney's passing is sending Bobbi off the deep end," one insider says, adding that her family is "shocked" by the scope of her issues.

The family does know that kid and or what she endured they are not qualified to help her their tight reigns and Christian rules are only going tonsend her further into the lifecof drugs. That kid lived with her freedom now they comebalong telling herbwhatbto do she will continue to try and break free. She doesn't want to hear their preaching evey single day thisband that and I know she wants to see her dad. So we the world will watch them destroy Bobbi Kristina asbthey did Whitney behind closed doors who ultimately and finally left this place. Bk you are in my prayers I know u r in a nightmare with those holier than thou preaching people!

What you all don't know is that she was already doing drugs before her moms death, and will everyone please stop blaming bobby brown for this. Whitney was on drugs long before him, watch the interview she did with Oprah. So in reality they both enabled each other.

If people do not have anything positive to say at this time, please leave your negativity in your own home. Bobby Brown had a responsible to his family as a husband, as a father, and as a man. He failed on all levels. As a wife, Whitney took a lot of abuse from Bobby Brown believing in her vows so much so that it destroyed her life, as a mother, no matter how deep her depression became, she never let go of her child. As a woman, her death is and will always be a sign of how much she contribute to this world...... We love you Whitney

I pray that these rumors, if true, will prompt her family to get her into a program as soon as possible. She's using the coping mechanisms that were modeled for her. She has been parenting her parents for so long she never got to be a child. While she has some incredibly strong and loving women around her, as well as her church, she needs to be in a structured environment with education, people her age, therapy, play, and a chance to learn new life skills. She needs an outlet for her grief ina safe and supportive place where she can be heard and healed. God only knows what she's been exposed to in her short and tumultuous life. Love and prayers are just not enough, and she's still young enough to mend some of the damage. She has been carrying a huge burden and needs to unload it. While her mother loved her deeply, she loved her drugs more, like any other addict. She needs to go to a nice quiet and safe place where she can heal with people who are professional about addiction and the damages it causes everyone. I'm pulling for her!

My heart goes out to Bobbi Kristina and my pray goes up to the lord on her behalf. I know she will be ok because she has a family who lives with strong faith in the Lord. Hold on to the Lord as your mother did no matter what storm rose up against her, she never let go of her faith in God. Whitney Houston rest in peace and Bobbi Kristina please rest in God grace. With that said I know from my soul that both God's children will be fine......

Bobbi doesn't stand a chance if the media doesn't let her alone. She needs to heal, and that takes time. I doubt sincerely that her aunt, Godmother, or Grandmother are putting these stories out there at all. I think it's all gossip. The fact is if she is having trouble with drugs, then it's family business, and not ours.

    1) Bobbie Kristina was probably born a crack baby with her mother using drugs the way she did. Don't know if rehad will help her. Only God can help someone like that. 2) Whitney was too busy doing drugs to take care of her daughter. As a result, Bobbie Kristina looks like a homeless person when she smiles (with big gap in the two front teeth). I feel sorry for this poor girl.

She is such a beautiful young lady with a very talented voice..i don't know how it feels to lose a mother at a age where u now really experience life cause am also 18 as well but i know it must be so tough to go through all that pain and plus she is a only child so u have no sister or brother to cry onto..i think she needs to do what her mother will wanted her to do..make your mother proud as see watches from the heavens looking over and guiding you.. don't go the the same path where your mom was try to be better make your voice be heard and lay down your own path and must importantly SPECK TO GOD HE WAS THE ONLY PERSON YOUR MOM TRUSTED THROUGH ALL THE PAIN,HE CAN GET U THROUGH DIS

I think the family need to be concerned about the gap in her two front teefs. Then rehab. How can you possibly get sober when you look like a hot mess?

  • February 22, 2012 - 8:26pm LaQuita Suggs Ricks

She is really in grief and should identify positive outlets to heal from her emotional pain. No one really understands the tremendous impact of losing a parent (one through death and the other through separation) until it happens to you. I believe that the family should seek therapy and have the therapist become the 1:1 Coach to assist her through this process. All of this immediately after Detox of course. LOSS is difficult to recover from, speaking from personal experience and as a therapist.
